Mangaluru: A landslide occurred on outskirts of the city, at Gurupura, on Sunday. While the loose mud fell over four houses, two children are suspected to have been stuck in the debris.
The region has been receiving heavy rainfall over the last few days.
On Sunday afternoon, at about 1 pm, the locals felt that a part of the hillock had started caving in. While they started running out of their houses to a safer location, the hillock caved in, falling over four houses.
Two boys have gone missing and they are now feared to have been trapped inside the debris.
The NDRF team has rushed to the spot and rescue operation is on.
