Bantwal: In a fire incident at Bal Tilla village of Kalladka, a major portion of a house was charred here on Monday. April 22.
The massive fire which broke out at around noon, damaged materials worth lakhs of rupees.
The house belongs to Chandrashekhar Naik, who along with his family had left for a marriage function at Brahmarakutlu. Due to this, the family has escaped from the jaws of death.
The firefighters were successful in controlling the fire.
About 40 quintals of arecanut was burnt down.
MLA Rajesh Naik, Tahsildar Sannarangaiah, Taluk Panchayat member Lakshmi Gopal and others visited the spot.
