Mangaluru: “The new scheme ‘Keregala Kaayakalpa’ (revamp of water bodies) of Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade should be successful like ‘Gramabhivruddhi Yojane’ which was taken up during the first Mahamastakabhisheka to the statue of Bahubali”, said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday, February 9.
He was addressing the gathering at a programme organised at Dharmastala as part of Mahamastakabhisheka. Kumaraswamy said, “The programme of ‘Gramabhivruddhi Yojane’ has become a beacon for the people. After the introduction of this scheme, thousands of people have been empowered. The new scheme ‘Keregala Kayakalpa’ undertaken to mark the fourth Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali should turn Karnataka into a state with lush greenery”, he said.
“As the statue of Bahubali promotes peace and patience, we should imbibe such qualities in our life. As Dharmastala temple also does social works along with its religious activities, it is an ideal religious centre”, he opined.
