Mangaluru: Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Hospital in Mangaluru has announced that it will be accepting walk-in appointments at their vaccination centre in Marena Indoor Sports Complex, Kaprigudda.
The walk-in vaccination drive is being held from 9 am to 1 pm from Monday June 21.
Addressing the media persons Saghir Siddiqui, Regional COO, KMC Hospital said that, “People will be able to pick between Covaxin and Covisheild vaccines, which are both being offered at the centre. When arriving to get vaccinated, people are asked to provide one form of identification (Aadhar Card, Passport/Pan Card/Voter ID). I request everyone to come forward and use this opportunity to get themselves vaccinated.”
Saghir told News Karnataka that, “The vaccination process was there for one month, but the government made it mandatory to book online for it. They can now register on the spot with a valid ID and get vaccinated. People aged 18 and over are welcome to use the hospital’s service. So far, over 70000 people have been vaccinated. We are vaccinating nearly 1200 people in a day. We want to let people know that we are also available for walk-in vaccinations. We are following all the guidelines issued by the government like physical distancing, observation 15 minutes after vaccination.”
