Mysuru: In a horrifying incident that took place at Chamarajapuram railway station on June 28, a lady constable slipped and remained stuck between the wheels of a moving train. Only mutilated pieces of her body could be recovered.
Lady constable Prema slipped from moving train and died
The deceased has been identified as Prema(50), a constable at Superintendent of Police office in Chamarajanagar.
It is said that she used to commute daily from her residence in Bogadi, Mysuru to her office in Chamarajanagar by train. As soon as she got off from her relative’s bike, she rushed towards the moving train as she was late.
The train gathered speed and she lost control and fell, eventually getting stuck between the wheels of the moving train. Her body parts were found later as sources said that one more train ran over her body before the body parts were retrieved.
The police who reached the spot after the incident have registered a case and handed over the retrieved parts to her close relatives.
