‘Made in Kudla’ exhibition features local art and crafts

Mangaluru: An art and crafts exhibition called “Made in Kudla” was inaugurated at Kadri Rocks, Mangaluru on Wednesday, October 2. The exhibition was organised by Kudla Rocks and Sanchia the planner.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Mrs Eulalia D’Souza, Proprietor of  Lia Travels & Tours, Ramona Mathias and ace photographer Yajna Mangaluru were the chief guests for the event.

Shreyas Ram welcomed the gathering to the exhibition and Kudla Rocks proprietor Harsha D’Souza briefed the attendees on Mangalorean culture. D’Souza welcomed the artists who were displaying their work at the exhibition and further encouraged the gathering to promote local art and crafts.

In her address, Ramona Mathias said, “It is for the future generations that we have to preserve our heritage and culture. Art in every form must be encouraged and displayed.”

Speaking about local artforms, Eulalia D’Souza lauded the Kadri Rocks team for conducting this event.

“Made in Kudla” was a one-day event that promoted 15 local artists. The exhibition featured attractive jewellery, dream-catchers, flower pots, bottle-art, and other such artefacts on display.
