Mangaluru: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State President Prithvi Reddy said that the Aam Aadmi Party has managed to win the trust of the masses in a short span of time in the country and is confident that after Delhi and Punjab, we will win the Gujarat assembly elections.

He was speaking after inaugurating a convention of party workers organised by Dakshina Kannada District Aam Aadmi Party at Don Bosco Community Hall in the City. When the AAP Government comes to power in Karnataka, we assure that there will be 100 per cent work with 0 per cent. We also promise quality education and medical facilities,” he said.

BJP Leaders Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, who have been in power in Gujarat for 40 years, are now visiting schools. Students are now questioning Rahul Gandhi about education facilities. This is an achievement of the Aam Aadmi Party, he noted.

The people of Karnataka are supporting the AAP ignoring the other three parties. We don’t have to ask people for votes. It is enough to be convinced in every booth that we are there. A large number of workers have given confidence that it is possible to build the party in the Coastal Districts,” he said.

AAP Dakshina Kannada District President Santhosh Kamath said, “We will try to win at least a couple of MLA seats from Dakshina Kannada District.”

AAP’s well-wisher Michael D’Souza inaugurated the new office of the Aam Aadmi Party at Souza Arcade in the City. “The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is a party without any discrimination of caste, creed and religion and is the only party in the country that governs corruption-free. Michael D’Souza said that people should support Aam Aadmi Party to build a better country.

AAP’s State Joint Secretary Vivekananda Salins, National Committee Member Ashok Adamale, Mangaluru Women’s Wing President Bennett Navitha Moras, Udupi District President Diwakar Sanil, Uttara Kannada District President Balakrishna Naik, Vijayanatha Vittal Shetty of Moodabidri, Dr. B. K. Vishukumar of Puttur, Sumana Bellarkar of Sullia, and District Secretary Venu Gopal were present.

Prithvi Reddy congratulated Congress Leader Pratibha Kulai for being a brave woman.

On the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava, kannyada songs were sung along with the State anthem.

Aam Aadmi Party workers and leaders first took out a march from Pumpwell Circle to Ambedkar Circle in the City.

Purushottam Kolpe welcomed the gathering and conducted the programme. The programme was hosted by Sandeep Shetty.

Lauding the Aam Aadmi Party workers for responding to the problems of the people in the coastal areas, BJP voter Narayan Prabhu said, “We have been working for the RSS-BJP since the days of the Jan Sangh. Those who run the administration do not have the capacity to solve the problem of drinking water in our surrounding. If they can’t, they need to stay at home, why should they be a corporator? The corporator’s husband runs system on behalf of his wife, he ruled.
