Bengaluru: Mangaluru, Peenya (Bengaluru), Bhadravati and Raichur are the four most polluted cities in the state as per a survey carried out by the Union Environment Ministry.
Based on the findings, the state environment department has started a pollution survey in these four cities with the help of a private firm.
According to the officials, the state environment department has now started another round of research works with the help of a private firm to identify the cause of pollution and check the air quality with the help of latest technology.
“In every city, air quality test will be conducted in atleast 8 highly polluted areas. This report will be submitted to the union environment ministry to take up remedial measures,” he said.
