Mangaluru: Former Minister and Congress Leader Ramanath Rai alleged that the BJP was misusing the administrative machinery and putting pressure on Government officials to make the Government programmes look like Sangha programmes.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “It has come to our notice that some Anganawadi workers were scolded as they did not participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme. The school teachers have been scolded. This is not right,” he said.

Apart from this, a Government programme called Kannada School Children’s Festival has been organised in association with Keshava Samvardhana Samiti of the BJP. The programme held near the RSS organisation. The Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) had sent a circular to showcase the talent of children. The programme could have held in schools. We will not allow misuse of the power, he said.

Leaders Kodijal Ibrahim, Chandraprakash Shetty and others were present at the press meet.
