Mangaluru Dasara parade ends in a spectacular manner

Mangaluru: The grand Mangaluru Dasara procession commenced on October 24. Starting at approximately 4 pm, the procession initiated from Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra, where the Dasara celebrations are scheduled to take place.

Led by former Union Minister B. Janardhana Poojary, the visionary behind the Dasara festivities, a grand shobha yatra featured Lord Ganesha, Adishakti, Navadurga, and Sharada Mata.

The Dasara celebrations were enhanced by over 1,000 captivating Kerala umbrellas, over 100 band sets, a group of around 40 folk dancers, Kerala chendevadana, horn trumpets, and more than 60 tableaux representing the nation’s history. The procession, spanning a nearly 7-km route through the city, is scheduled to conclude in the early hours of tomorrow.

The idols of Ganapati, Adishakti, Sharada, and Navadurga were immersed in the Kudroli kshetra pushkarini. The procession route was illuminated with charming electric lights. A multitude of people from both within the country and overseas enthusiastically took part in the Dasara procession.
