Mangaluru: Hyderabad-based Dr. Shweta Reddy came to Dharmasthala and gave penalty after she was trolled on social media for her portrayal of the deity in the film, Kantara.
The visit took place on Thursday November 3. She apologised and sought blessings from Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D. Veerendra Heggade.
Speaking to the media persons Dr. Shweta said, “I didn’t know anything about Daivaaradhane. I thought Yakshagana character and this portrayal were the same. After the criticism, I realised that it was different, she said and added that she would like to request all the devotees and the people to kindly forgive her.
