Mangaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Janata Dal (Secular) Legislative Assembly Constituency Election Office was inaugurated on Wednesday April 26 at Vignesh City Complex, Belthangady here.
The party’s taluk senior leader Syed Salim inaugurated the Sabarabailu Office.
On this occasion JD (S) candidate Ashraf Alikunhi who gave a welcome speech said that our party had fielded candidates in 8 constituencies including Belthangady. In Ullala the candidate was kidnapped and treated unjustly. The state leaders have complained to the election officer and the police about this. Candidates are in fray in 7 other constituencies.
With blessings of Former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, I got a chance to contest the elections. Following the ideals of sacrifice of elders I am getting ready to contest in the election. Opposition rivals have campaigned for me by doing anti-propoganda. I will use that as my propaganda weapon, he noted.
He added that he has gained confidence by meeting the leaders in the villages.
The District President of the party Jake Madhava Gowda presided and said that the Janata Dal (Secular) has power in Belthangady. People have appreciated Kumarswamy’s two-term administration. JD (S) which has developed the ideal that all races of the State should live as one has been working for the past one year with the aim of winning 123 constituencies in the state. JD (S )should come to power for the prosperity of the farmers, he asserted.
JD (S) convention will be held at Belthangady on Monday May 1. State President Ibrahim, State Spokesperson Nazma, Bhoje Gowda, B. M. Farooque etc. will participate, he informed.
