Mangaluru: Police informed that three people have been taken into custody for the assault on a youth in Mulki’s Kerekadu village.
The accused have been identified as Kerekadu Kenchana Kere residents Divyesh Devadiga (38), Rajesh, and Yogishkumar alias Yogish (46), stated City Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar on Sunday December 18.
They have been slapped with charges under IPC sections relevant to rioting, and intentionally causing harm. He said that they had also been produced before the magistrate.
It can be recalled that a 25-year-old man was caught, assaulted, and tied to a pole on December 17 under the pretext of following and misbehaving with a girl.
