Mangaluru: A youth who went swimming in the sea with a friend was washed away by the waves and has been missing.
The missing youth has been identified as Satyam (18), a resident of Kana.
According to sources, Satyam had gone to the beach near the Surathkal lighthouse with his friend Prabhakaran. The two got into the water when they got trapped in the sea wave. Only Prabhakaran was able to swim to shore.
A search and rescue operation was initiated to find Satyam after Prabhakaran alerted the locals.
