Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Chennabasappa was pulled up by citizens led by Communist Leader Sunil Kumar Bajal for making the common man wait for hours at the scheduled time of public visit.
MCC Commissioner Chennabasappa was not present in his Chamber at the time allotted for public visit. The public was waiting to meet him. It was said that the Commissioner was in a meeting. The common people were kept waiting for hours near the Commissioner’s Chamber of the corporation. The public, led by Sunil Kumar Bajal, lashed out at him for wasting time in the name of Commissioner’s meeting.
Sunil Kumar took strong exception to the behaviour of the Commissioner, who arrived late. “It is not right for you to keep the common man waiting in the name of meeting at the time allotted for public visits,” Sunil said. The Commissioner explained the situation and finally, he lost his cool and added that he did not go to see a movie. However, when Sunil Kumar persisted, Commissioner Channabasappa put his hand on Sunil’s shoulder and pacified him.
