Mangaluru: During parent-teachers meet a man allegedly assaulted teacher at private school here on Friday November 4.
The accused has been identified as Mohammed Haneef. The victim teacher has been identified as Chandrakala of Katipalla, who has sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Surathkal in the City.
As per the complaint, Chandrakala had lent money to Haneef’s wife. However, the same was not returned. Chandrakala had asked for the money to be returned.
In parent-teachers’ meeting targetting this Chandrakala allegedly spoke negative about Haneef’s child. In a fit of rage, Haneef assaulted the teacher.
A case has been registered at the Surathkal Police Station. The accused, meanwhile, has been remanded to judicial custody.
