Mangaluru: Money kept for daughter’s wedding stolen from man

Mangaluru: An unidentified person snatched a bundle of Rs. 10 Lakh currency notes from a man at Rifayinagara on Pedamale-Saralikatte Road of Ilanthila Village here on the afternoon of Sunday March 20.

The victim has been identified as Mohammed K., resident of Karyapadi, who was putting away the cash below the seat of his two-wheeler when the accused came out of nowhere and snatched the bundle from him. Though Mohammed chased accused he managed to escape. The victim had arranged that cash for his daughter’s marriage and was about to buy gold from the same.

A complaint has been lodged at Uppinangady Police Station in this connection.
