Mangaluru: With regard murder that took place on Saturday December 24, Chief Minister regretted that the murder should not have happened. However, the police will take the appropriate action and the investigation is very much in progress, he added.
Speaking to mediapersons at Mangaluru Airport here during his visit to participate in Jamboree on Monday December 25, CM said according to the eyewitness, two people have committed the murder and we are confident that they will be caught soon. We will arrest and interrogate them. The reason, the background and the truth will emerge. I appeal to the people of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District not to act in a way that peace and order are disturbed. There is no room for speculation and the peace must be maintained always, he stressed.
“During such a situation, there is a need to go with mutual trust. Trust the police and they will investigate. We will take 100 per cent action against those found guilty, he assured.
The Opposition’s allegation is that the ‘action reaction’ given by the CM led to an untoward incident in the Coastal areas. However, it is not the public’s prerogative to take action. It is the duty of society and the duty of the Government. It is not to be negated. No matter who makes a mistake, there is no question of action-reaction. If you do something other than the actual cause of an incident, you will miss out on the real cause of this incident. Therefore, leave the investigation process to the police. They will investigate impartially. The truth will come out, he added.
