Mangaluru: A man was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for sexually assaulting a four-year-old child in a court ruling here.
The convicted person has been identified as Vinod (46) of Maroli. As per chargesheet, the incident took place in May 2017 when the parents had left their child at a neighbour’s house while they were at work. Vinod, who lived in the same locality took the child to his house and tried to sexually assault the child.
The child’s screams alerted the neighbours who rushed to Vinod’s house and got to know about the act. A case was registered at Kankanady Police Station and after investigation the Police submitted the charge sheet to the Court.
