Mangaluru: Soon after the Congress announced its candidate for the Sullia assembly constituency the disgruntled Congress activists and workers protested again demanding that the Congress ticket be given to the H. M. Nandakumar KPCC member and in-charge of Kadaba block. Nandakumar’s fans who have conveyed the issue to prominent Congress leaders in the State in many ways held a huge rally at Nindikallu.
The Block Congress had made it clear that it will take action against those holding the convention.
However, thousands of activists participated in the convention held on Sunday April 9 at Lakshmi Venkataramana Auditorium in Dharmashree Arcade, Nindikallu. Over 1,000 people, including Congress leaders and workers and women were present in the hall.
