Mangaluru: “Three accused in the Katipalla Jaleel murder case have been taken into custody and they have been arrested and produced before the court,” said Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday December 26, he said that they have been taken into 14 days of police custody and further interrogation is underway. Two of them aredirectly involved and one of them had dropped the others on a bike. They were taken into custody in the night of Sunday December 25 and will be interrogated further.
Two of the three were earlier accused in several cases and also involved in an attempt to murder case in 2021.
“We have detained 10 to 12 people, including a women, in the Jaleel case. Jaleel’s family members and a few others have been questioned, but only three people have been arrested so far,” he said and added, “We will not be able to reveal the identity of the accused until proper details emerge with regard to their involvement.”
