Min Limbavali assures financial aid to Pilikula Nisargadhama

Mangaluru: Minister of Forest Aravind Limbavali visited Pilikula Nisargadhama on Friday July 9.

Speaking to media persons after inspection and planting a sapling at biological park he said that he was happy to see how the animals here are protected and nurtured. The developments undertaken here will be shared with Union Forest and Environment Minister and thereafter the necessary aids will be provided for the overall development of Nisargadhama under Karnataka Forest Department and Union Government, he added.

When questioned about adding Tulu under 8th Schedule of the Constitution, Minister said, “due to certain technical issues while processing, the Union Government sent it back suggesting corrections. Post corrections, the copy has already been sent to the Centre and I believe it will be verified soon.”

Further, he said that necesaary measures to convince the tribals to rehabilitate into mainlands are under progress, and added that the rest are being facilitated to stay by providing basic necessities.

Limbavali also visited Salumarada Thimmakka Sasyodhyana at Kadalakere and inaugurated the Bamboo Forest wherein 54 kinds of bamboos are grown along with Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian. Later, programmes where in dropping fish to Kadalakere and boating in the pond were also launched.
