Mangaluru: Nine beneficiaries received financial aid from the Chief minister’s fund after the recommendation by Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo. The amount of Rs 6.83 lakh was divided among nine people as per their need. The MLA visited their houses and distributed the cheques here on Thursday.
The beneficiaries are Kulshekar Ashraf Ali Panjath (2 lakh), Mohan from Jeppu (1.5lakh), Adolf Saldanha from Kadri Shivbagh(1lakh), Raghuram Suvarna from Jeppinamogaru (80,000), Keshav Bin from Shaktinagar(50,000), Celis Benedict Menezes from Nagori(30,000), Kamalakshi from Bengre(30,000), Mohammad Ali from Kasaba Bengre(25,000) and Mohammad Bilal(18,000). The MLA visited the beneficiaries personally and distributed the medical expenses.
Corporators Sabitha Misquith, Praveen Chandra Alva, Asha Dsilva, Kavitha Vasu, leaders like Nagendra Kumar, T K Sudhir, Namitha D Rao, Denis Dsilva, Herbert Dsouza, Ramanand Poojary, M Farooq, Asif Bengre and Sunil Shetty were present.
