Mangaluru: After coming up with unique initiatives like ‘no horn Wednesday’, ‘plastic free Kudla’ ‘safe school zone’ etc., Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath has come up with a unique idea to promote tourism in the city.
Taking to Facebook on Friday, February 21, the MLA announced his “Temple Tourism Initiative writing, “Tulunad is land of Temples with rich and great history. My Constituency Mangalore South itself has a lot of temples and religious places. In order to generate revenue to local business I have planned a concept of TEMPLE TOURISM. [sic]”
The MLA said thast as part of his initiative, he will post about religious spots in Mangaluru and the Tulunad region from time to time. “All you need to do is SHARE the post and support the initiative. This will attract lot of people from neighboring districts and states and will make sure Tulunad is recognised globally. Our Temples have rich history and its time it is known to masses, [sic]” the MLA’s post continued.
MLA Kamath said that his initiative will not only help tourism but will also help local businesses generate additional income.
