Mangaluru: MLC Harish Kumar, speaking at the convention of beneficiaries of the five guarantees initiated by the Chief Minister Siddaramaiah-led state government, highlighted the swift implementation of these assurances within eight months of assuming office. The event, organized by the district and Mangaluru taluk administration, took place at the Karavali festival grounds on March 7.

Harish Kumar praised the government’s commitment, stating that four out of the five guarantees promised during elections were realized within the first three months of assuming power. He specifically commended the recent implementation of the Yuvanidhi scheme, emphasizing the government’s dedication to fulfilling its promises.

The Shakthi scheme was recognized for its widespread benefits across various demographic groups, with an increase in women joyfully traveling by government buses. Harish Kumar also highlighted the positive impact of the Grihalakshmi and Gruha Jyothi schemes, emphasizing the improved quality of life for numerous people.

The program was chaired by MLC Manjunath Bhandary, and officials including Mescom MD Padmavathi, DC Mullai Mugilan, and others were present. The event featured details on the successful outreach of schemes like Antyodaya ration cards, Griha Lakshmi, and Griha Jyothi, with beneficiaries expressing their opinions.

However, during the convention, empty chairs greeted officials, as women who had gathered to register as beneficiaries were unable to attend the formal function due to a pause in registration booths. Mangaluru Assistant Commissioner Mahesh welcomed attendees, and Mangaluru City Corporation Officer Malini proposed the vote of thanks.
