Bengaluru/Mangaluru: Polling for 25 MLC seats in the state ended at 4 pm on Sunday December 27.
A total of 1,07,123 voters were eligible to vote, including members of all urban and rural local bodies and MLAs.
The Congress fielded candidates in 21 constituencies, while the BJP and the JD(S) fielded candidates in 20 and 18 constituencies respectively.
Dakshina Kannada-Udupi constituency
In Dakshina Kannada-Udupi constituency, as many as 6533 out of 6560 voters casted their votes for 8 candidates, thus registering a percentage of 99.59 votes. 99.79 votes were recorded in Dakshina Kannada and 99.43 votes in Udupi.
In Kundapur taluk, turnout of voters was 99.71 per cent with 1016 members casting their votes, 98.96 per cent votes with 1016 voters in Udupi taluk, 99.63 per cent votes with 537 voters in Karkala, 99.58 per cent votes with 1198 voters in Mangaluru, 99.68 votes with 926 votes in Bantwal, 99.72 per cent votes with 702 voters in Belthangady, 651 and 361 voters in Puttur and Sullia takes, thereby registering 100 per cent votes.
The counting of votes will take place on December 30.
