Bantwal: The new Mularapatna bridge connecting Mangaluru and Bantwal Taluks has been opened for public on Friday November 12. With this, local citizens and school children who had to take a roundabout route can now save their time and effort.
Mularapatna bridge has been built at a cost of Rs. 13.90 crore. The bridge was opened for the public use without any formal inauguration. The village elders broke a coconut as a traditional auspicious practice to declare the bridge open to public.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Bharat Shetty Y. and Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik were present during the event.
