Now pay your MCC water bills at nearby post offices

Mangaluru: For the first time in Karnataka State, a provision has been made at all the Departmental Post offices of Mangaluru for collection of water bills of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC). Henceforth, customers can pay their MCC water bills at any Departmental post offices of Mangaluru.

A decision in this regard was made for the convenience of the customers. The Department of Posts, Mangaluru Division has entered into an agreement with Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, for collection of MCC water bills through all the Departmental Post offices of Mangaluru.

Water bills of MCC can be paid at ‘Mangaluru One’ Centres and in some selected banks of Mangaluru.

This service will be available Ashoknagar, Baikampady, Bajal, Balmatta, Bejai, Boloor, District Court, Falnir, Fisheries College, Gandhinagar, Hampankatta, Katipalla, Kavur, Kodiyalbail, Konchady, Kulai, Kulshekar Head Post office, Kulur, Lewell, Mangaluru Collectorate, Mangaluru Head Post Office, Mercarahills (Mallikatte), Padil, Panambur, Shakthinagar, Srinivasnagar, Surathkal and Vamanjoor departmental post offices within Mangaluru City Corporation.

Apart from the above post offices, Mangaluru City Corporation water bills can also be paid at other departmental post offices of Mangaluru which are outside the jurisdiction of the Mangaluru City Corporation. Customers can pay their water bills even without presenting the bill by just telling the sequence number printed on the bill. Currently this service is only available for Mangaluru City Corporation water bills.

According to the press release, service charges are applicable to avail the facility.

In the order by Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, and Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, all the citizens of Mangaluru are requested to avail the benefit of this service. This service will commence in all the departmental post offices of Mangaluru from Wednesday November 3. It was mentioned that this is a Rajyotava special gift for all the citizens of Mangaluru.
