Mangaluru: Over 45,000 students are expected to participate in the Makkala Habba that will be held on November 21 and 22 at Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama, Pilikula, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim said on Friday, November 20.
Inspecting the preparations made in this regard, the DC said that parking arrangement for about 400 vehicles has been made. Seven registration counters have been setup. The registration process will begin at 9.30 am. Children can enter into the venue through nine entry points. Ice candy, a special coupon and a mask or a toy will be given to them at the entrance. The coupon can be used to participate in any one of the facilities available in the park such as planetarium, 3D show, amusement activities etc. However, children can visit any number of stalls.
The procession will start at 10 am from the entrance arch to the zoo circle. The programme will be inaugurated with children playing little peppy instruments at 11 am. Both days will be loaded with fun games, food, entertainment and learning. Children can click selfies in front of Taj Mahal, Mysore Palace, Statue of Liberty and other historical places whose replica will be erected.
There will be also treasure hunt, quiz, robotic and automation, origami, mask making, kite making events held at same venue, the DC informed.
Apart from it, children will be entertained with mimicry, magic, face painting, sand art, slow cycle race, treasure hunt, street play, mime, short skit and mono acting shows. As many as 10 vintage cars and 12 bikes will be on display, the DC added.
District Health officer Dr Ramakrishna said that four doctors will be present at the venue. A 108 ambulance will be arranged for emergency. Police and RTO will also render service in addition to the park security personnel.
