Mangaluru: In a serious step to put an end to drugs, the Mangalore police recently came forward to destroy 65 lakhs worth of ganja during the NDPS case on Friday, the 9th of February, at 11 am in the morning.

Commissioner of Police Anupam Agarwal stated that this was an act on the direction of the court’s orders following the 34 cases over nine police station limits across the city.

This was despite all the measures to spread awareness by the many campaigns and walkathons that often take place all through the city.

Drug selling and consumption continues to thrive, calling for some serious action, which the police have now begun to take, destroying over 200 kgs of ganja, about 200 gms of MDMA and 30 grams of methamphetamine. This was at the  Sustainability Healthcare Solutions Energy Ltd in Mulki

Besides this, the police also seized and destroyed 5.9 kgs of ganja in Ullal, over 41 kgs ganja along with 152 grams of MDMA and 30 grams of Methamphetamine in Konaje, 40 grams of MDMA in Surathkal, 41 grams of ganja in the rural area of Mangalore, 460 grams in Panambur, 131.15 grams in Kavoor, 400 grams in the Mangalore station and a staggering 1500 grams in the North of Mangalore.

The Kavoor police further arrested two people near Bondel for selling methamphetamine All this clearly goes to say that drug dealing is a serious case that needs to be addressed today.
