Sullia: Anti-national forces have gained strength due to Congress’ policy of allurement during its rule, said MLA Angara during a protest meet at Sullia on Saturday, August 27. He critisized the State government for its stance on the Amnesty International issue.
Addressing block level party workers and leaders of BJP in Sullia during the protests, he said, the state government stance on the Amnesty issue gives fillip to anti-nationals and is detrimental to nation’s interest.
“Soldiers sacrifice their lives for safeguarding the nation’s borders because of which the country’s citizens lead peaceful lives. Raising slogans against them by anti-national elements is condemnable on all counts. To make matters worse, the state government is hushing up all issues,” he alleged.
Speaking on the occasion, Block president Venkat Velalambe said that people are fed up with the State Congress rule where protests have become the order of the day. He demanded strict action against the sloganeers at the Amnesty event. At the same time, he alleged of many irregularities in the distribution of 94C property right documents to beneficiaries.
Sullia town president Vinay Kumar Kandadka and BJP leader AV Thirtharam said, Congress is resorting to divisive politics, because of which the party will get wiped out.
Zilla Panchayat members Harish Kanjipili, Asha Thimmppa, Pushpavathi Balila and Taluk Panchayat president Chaniya Kalthadka were present among many other local party leaders and workers during the protests.
