Mangaluru: Minister for Urban Development and Housing and Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister U T Khader asked public to participate in the pre-budget meeting scheduled at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on January 14.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, January 12, Khader said, “In order to involve people in the state budget, a pre-budget meeting will be convened at DC’s office, in which all businessmen, social activists and other public should participate and give essential suggestions. The ideas and suggestions collected from the public will be considered while allocating funds during the state budget. People also can give their suggestions through writing to the district administration”, he informed.
“As people are well aware about their requirements and geographical area of their land, they know what important projects should come up and which area should be focused on first. Hence, pre-budget meeting would be convened in order to gather their opinion”, he said and urged public to participate in the meeting.
