Kasargod: A puerperal woman allegedly ended life after jumping off hospital building at Pariyaram Medical College.
The deceased is Simi (31), wife of Ramdas from Hosadurga Alamipalli.
She was admitted to Kanhangad District Hospital for delivery on April 20 and on the same day she had delivered a baby girl.
However, her condition deteriorated as she started bleeding profusely after child birth. Following this, she was shifted to Pariyaram.
But, on Monday morning Simi fell off fifth floor of the hospital building. She breathed her last after all efforts to save her failed.
It is said that she had slipped into depression after delivery and this could have led her to end life.
Case has been registered.
