Mangaluru: “As the BJP’s Parivarthana rally did not receive a good response, BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa has stooped to making disrespectful comments against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah”, said Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.
He was addressing a joint press meet along with Minister U T Khader at the Circuit House on November 10.
Slamming Yeddyurappa for his insulting comments aimed at the CM, Rai said, “Yeddyurappa, who had been to jail along with some of his fellow cabinet ministers during BJP’s reign as state government, is now making disrespectful comments against CM Siddaramaiah. The chief minister, in the last 4.5 years of administration, has initiated various developmental programmes for the people in the state. So, the BJP is in distress because of the Congress government’s achievements in the state. People in the state will decide who is the real fool.”
He also added that the District Congress Committee will severely condemn such statements by the BJP leader.
Khader said, “In democracy, every party has a right to take rally and express their ideology but why the BJP state president is venting his distress against CM Siddaramaiah? Being a state president of a national political party, he should have some responsibility. People will decide who is the fool. BJP is unable to tolerate the Congress government’s progressive programmes in the state.”
