Mangaluru: Senior Congressman Janardhana Poojary expressed his anger quite openly at Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for not visiting Kudroli temple after indicating earlier in the day that he would pay a visit.
The temple officials got the information that the CM, who was not originally scheduled to visit the temple, would be doing so on Sunday. The inauguration of the Dasara festivities at the temple was at 6:30 pm. It is said that at around 6:50 pm, the temple authorities got the information that the CM had cancelled his plan of visiting the temple.
The temple then proceeded with the inauguration with the lighting of lamp by Indira and Laxmi Shanti, the widow priests of the temple.
Janardhana Poojary who addressed the gathering after the prayers, burst out at CM and said that he was planning to pray here for the CM’s successful governance in the State. Poojary also alleged that the CM had dropped the plans of visiting the temple on the advice of another Congress leader. Siddaramaiah has neglected the emotions of the people, he concluded.
