Sahyadri College to conduct A TEQIP 1.3 sponsored 3 day workshop on Aspects of LTE 4G

A TEQIP 1.3 sponsored three day workshop on “Aspects of LTE 4G” will be conducted from 22nd to 24th March, 2019 by the department of Electronics & Communication at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management (SCEM), Mangaluru. The workshop aims to give insights for the faculties of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi about the progress of Long Term Evolution (LTE) with specific reference to 4G. It will strengthen the foundation for faculties of VTU affiliated colleges handling courses on LTE 4G which has been recently introduced in the CBCS scheme for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in communication related streams. Faculty from VTU affiliated Engineering colleges in the Department of Electronics & Communication and Telecommunication are eligible having a prerequisite in Fundamentals of Communication Engineering.

Objectives of the Workshop:
Exposure to the LTE 4G system architecture
Understand the basics of multicarrier modulation
Understand the physical layer of LTE 4G
Exposure to LTE 4G Protocol stacks for various events
Exposure to the network side of LTE 4G

This workshop is conducted in Association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka; Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna, Bihar; Biju Patnaik University of Technology Rourkela, Odisha; Institution of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE); RDL Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Mangaluru and NI Systems (India) Pvt.Ltd, Bengaluru. Key resource persons for this workshop are Dr. Sondur Lakshmipathi, CTO, MYMO Wireless Technology Pvt. Ltd; Dr. M. H. Kori, Former Technical Director, Alcatel Lucent Technologies; Dr. K Rajesh Shetty, Professor, NMAM Institute of Technology; Dr. Ravilla Dilli, Manipal Institute of Technology and Mr. Abhijith B G, Technical Lead, Saankhya Labs Pvt. Ltd.

Inaugural ceremony will be held on 22nd March 2019 at Shambhavi Seminar Hall, SCEM, Mangaluru. Dr. M. H. Kori, Former Technical Director, Alcatel Lucent Technologies will deliver the keynote address and Dr. R. Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal, SCEM will preside the function.
