Mangaluru: Dr K G Jagadeesha, deputy commissioner, Dakshina Kannada has been transferred with immediate effect and posted untill further orders as Director, Department of Mines and Geology, Bengaluru.
Sasikanth Senthil, director, department of Mines and Geology, Bengaluru has been transferred and posted as the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada.
Jagadeesha took charge as the DC on August 1, 2016. An IAS officer of 2005 batch had earlier served as the DC of Kalaburagi district and was the first DC of Yadgir district. K G Jagadeesh last served as the Managing Director of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL) in Bengaluru before being appointed as the DC of Mangaluru. He had also served as the director of horticulture, assistant commissioner of Kalaburagi sub-division and commissioner of Kalaburagi City Corporation.
Two other officers Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey, commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Bengaluru and Srikar M S, Managing director, Karnataka State Bevarages Corporation Limited, Bengaluru too have been transferred.
