In a letter dated Thursday, April 11, the city’s Police Commissioner issued orders to the Deputy Conservator of Forests in Mangaluru to remove honeycombs along the route designated for Prime Minister Modi’s visit, citing security reasons.
Route of the Prime Minister’s Roadshow
The prime minister’s roadshow is scheduled to commence from Narayana Guru Circle (Lady Hill) and conclude at Navabharath Circle.
Locations for Honeycomb Removal
The Police Commissioner specified the removal of honeycombs at various locations including those along the roadshow route, parking areas, Mangaluru International Airport, helipad, and buildings along the designated route. Additionally, specified areas for honeycomb removal include A J Hospital, Wenlock Hospital, KMC Hospital, Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner’s Office, SDM Law College, Circuit House, and the road from the International Airport to the venues where dignitaries are expected to travel.
