Mangaluru: Sharada Group of Institutions is now opening Sharada Ayurveda and Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical Colleges at their Ayurdhama campus at Devinagara, Talapady on October 25.
Prof M B Puranik, President of Sharada Group of Institutions told reporters here on Tuesday, October 22 that the medical aspirants have enrolled for the five and half years BAMS ( Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) course, which is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is recognised by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) and Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
Principal of Ayurveda College Prof Raviganesh Mogra briefed about the college facilities and the BAMS course details. “One could see the global inclination towards Ayurveda as it lays great importance on living in harmony with the universe and harmony of nature and science,” he said.
Principal of Yoga and Naturopathy College Prof Rajesh Padekal said, “Naturopathy uses natural remedies to help the body heal itself through many therapies, including the combination of herbs, massage, acupuncture, exercise and nutritional counselling.” Meanwhile, he gave updates on the advancement, research scope and brilliant opportunities for the naturopathy practitioners.
