Belthangady: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala on October 29 at 11 am and in this regard, Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project Director Dr L H Manjunath has stated that special arrangements have been put into place.
A release has informed that pilgrims and the general public will not be allowed into the temple, main entrance and car street premises till 1.30 pm on Sunday.
Meanwhile, changes will be made to the traffic flow as well. No vehicle will be allowed from Dharmasthala to Ujire from 9 am on Sunday. The ones wanting to take part in the prorgamme will have to make sure that they have assembled at the venue before 9 am. The ones reaching after 9 am will have to take the Kokkada-Nelyadi-Uppinangady-Guruvayanakere-Belthnagady route to reach Ujire. The road will be open for people plying from Charmadi and Mangaluru.
The programme will be held at Ujire Rathnaverma Heggade stadium and the event is open to all. The general public can take the Ujire road or Belalu road to reach the venue. The two-lane road between Ujire and SDM colleges will be closed to the general public. The Self Help Group members who will be volunteering for the event will have to reach Janardhana Swamy temple and then walk their way to the venue.
Those possessing VIP passes will have to reach the bus stand near SDM college and enter the welcome arch put up near the bus stand. A pass/vehicle pass and photo ID is compulsory to gain entry to the event.
Plastic bottles and bags have been prohibited at the venue as adequate drinking water facilities will be made available.
Parking facilities have been made at Janardhana Swamy Primary School premises and Ajjarakallu maidan for those plying from Belthangady.
