Puttur: In the Akhanda Bharat Sankalp Day program, the police have filed a case against Satish Davanagere, the South Region Coordinator of the Hindu Jagran Vedike, for delivering a provocative speech against the community. In response, Puttur Hindu Jagran Vedike, led by Gauri Bidanoor, organized a protest in Puttur town in the evening.
Harish Shaktinagar, the regional coordinator of the Hindu Jagran Vedike, delivered a speech underscoring the significance of social welfare. He expressed strong disapproval of the police registering a case against him for a speech he made in the best interests of society, especially considering that this action occurred just four days after the speech. He cautioned that if undue pressure is exerted on the Hindu community, organizations such as Bajrang Dal, Jagran, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and others would mobilize and respond to the government’s actions. He urged the government to interpret this situation correctly, reflect on the rich culture and heritage, and avoid any confrontations.
Muralikrishna Hasantadka, the South Region Coordinator of Bajrang Dal, condemned the police action and said that the government should be careful not to put undue pressure on the Hindu community. He stated that the community is always ready to fight when needed.
Ajit Rai Hosamane, Padmashree Solar System, Seetharam Rai Kedambadi, and others also expressed their views and stressed the importance of justice and legal basis in any action taken against the Hindu society. They warned that if pressure is put on the Hindu society time and again, it will not sit quietly. The authorities should be cautious in registering cases against the Hindu society.
Justice activist Chinmaya Rai, Taluk Convener Dinesh Panjikallu, Ajith Rai Hosamane, Hemanth Mani, Manish Barve, Avinash Purusharao, Harshith Balnadu, Rupesh Balnadu, Ramesh Maiya, Vishwa hindu Parishad city secretary Jaganath, and others were present at the protest organized by Puttur Hindu Jagran Vedike in the town.
Puttur Nagar President Anil Tenkila, Maji Purasabha President Ramesh Bannur, Nagar Sabha Vice President Jitendra Kalladka, Nagar Cooperative Development Officer, V. Subrahmanya Rao, and others, along with BJP District Committee members, also participated in the protest.
