Mangaluru/New Delhi: Over 13 MPs from the state have alleged that Kannadiga employees posted in Delhi’s Karnataka Bhavan are facing severe problems and urged Chief Minister Yediyurappa to take the necessary steps to mitigate their concerns.
In a letter addressed to the CM, the BJP parliamentarians accused a few employees of the Bhavan of mismanaging finances and thereby, causing losses to the state exchequer.
BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MPs B Y Raghavendra, Shobha Karandlaje, G S Basavaraj, and A Narayanaswamy were a few of the Lok Sabha representatives from the state who co-signed the letter.
According to the letter, the number of Kannadigas employed at the Bhavan has reduced to 80 people since nearly 30 posts have remained vacant for the last few years.
In order to stop the services offered by the Bhavan from being outsourced, the letter suggested that CM Yediyurappa replace non-Kannadiga officials with officers from the Karnataka Administrative Services (KAS).
