There was laughter, there were tears; This Sunday, Music for Change, a Mangalore based Non-Profit Organization hosted a truly magical show ‘Beat2Beat’  . The event included a dance competition for the special children and a singing competition for government school children. The uniqueness about the concept was that the students were paired with professional singers and dancers from Mangaluru, mentored by them and performed with them while competing against each other.

The Chief Guests of the event were South Constituency MLA Shri JR Lobo, CREDAI President and Allegro Ventures India Chairman Shri DB Mehta and Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shri Jeevan Saldanha.

Addressing the gathering MLA J R Lobo said, “The government has formed a directorate for the specially abled children to provide grants to them. Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have lot of such schools that have helped write success stories of many.

“Women and child development centre are also supporting the cause. It is no ordinary deed to nurture these children. Music for Change has taken a good initiative to encourage these children,” he added.
