Mangaluru: Air India Express flight, which was scheduled to depart from the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) to Abu Dhabi at around 8.40 pm has been delayed due to technical reasons, on Sunday, June 9.
Sources from the MIA informed that all procedures were completed and the passengers had boarded the flight, but due to technical snag, the flight could not take off.
Passengers are left clueless about the possibility of them flying to their destination.
Blanch Dalmaida, a frequent flyer, who is travelling to Abu Dhabi told newskarnataka.com that the authorities have said that the flight will be scheduled for Monday morning, but there is no clarity on the timing.
“We have been deboarded and asked to wait. There is utter chaos because a lot of people here are supposed to join work after Eid holidays and scenes prevailing now hint that they will not be able to report to work tomorrow,” she said.
When contacted, Airport Director V V Rao admitted that the flight was delayed. “The technical team has been working on the same and issue will be rectified soon,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rao informed that the Air India is yet to give more details on the situation.
