Three Instances of Death by Accidents in Mangalore

Mangaluru: Mangalore sees three more deaths on its roads in three different corners of the town, which is a clear call for greater road safety and awareness. 

An eighteen year old was said to have been hit when he skidded while riding his two wheeler. The incident took place in Sanoor in Karkala and the deceased, identified as Akash, an engineering student from Brahmavar, seemed to have suffered severe head injuries, soon leading to death. 

The second incident was that of a 68 year old senior citizen who was hit by a goods vehicle while attempting to cross a road at Kundapur. The deceased,  identified as Ananthaiah was first taken to the Taluk hospital in Kundapur after which he was shifted to the Manipal hospital where he succumbed to the injuries and died. 

The third case was that of a 24 year old who was seen as the pillion rider. The incident took place in Mura in Puttur. The deceased has been identified as Tejaa P, who, on being rushed to the hospital, was declared dead. 

Following this incident, an FIR has been filed at the Puttur police station.
