Three villages in DK exit ‘Containment Zone’ status

Mangaluru: The three villages in Dakshina Kannada district, which were earlier declared as containment zones for Covid-19 have now come out of the containment zone as no new Covid-19 cases have been reported over the last 28 days.

Sajipanadu Village of Bantwal Taluk, Janata Colony of Karaya village in Belthangady Taluk and Ajjavara village of Sullia taluk have exited the Containment Zone tag successfully.

Dakshina Kannada district Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, in a press release informed that the primary and secondary contacts of the Covid-19 patient in that area have completed the period of home quarantine. Due to this, three villages have been de-notified.

However, as the fresh cases of Covid-19 was reported at Kakkebettu, Shakthinagar in Padavu village, Narikombu village in Bantwal taluk and First Neuro Hospital in Padil and Kasba village in Bantwal taluk, all these areas will continue to be in the containment zones.
