Bantwal: In a freak accident on June, 26, a tree fell on a moving rickshaw near the SVS College here. However, the driver escaped luckily.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning when the rickshaw was en route to Moodabidri.
Lakshman Poojary, a resident of Pongarabetu, is traumatised by the incident but he escaped unhurt.
The fallen tree also damaged an electric pole but the broken wires were cleared from the area.
