Mangaluru: The Ullal Police on Monday arrested notorious thief and history-sheeter Rameez(26) alias Lemon Tea Ramiz from Mastikatte Ullal.
Rameez resident of Sundaribagh had gone missing after committing series of theft. On Monday, police arrested Rameez and seized a gold chain weighing 16 gram worth Rs 50,000 from him.
It is gathered that Ullal police have booked Rameez for barging into the residence of Pushpa Reddy, resident of Ullal Sunash Nagar and robbing her of a gold chain after threatening her while she was alone at home. Rameez was accompanied by his associate for the crime. The said aide has been arrested and produced before the court. Rameez has three robbery and theft cases at Ullal police station.
Rameez was produced before a court that remanded him to 15-day judicial custody.
