Mangaluru: The Central Election Commission has commended Sannidi L.S Gowda, a fourth-grade student from Dakshina Kannada, for her efforts to promote voting awareness during the last assembly elections.

The Election Commission has lauded her commendable initiative to raise awareness for 100% voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Sannidi L.S Gowda, a resident of Kasekodi in Balila village, attends Balavikasa English Medium School.

During the previous election, she sent voting awareness materials to the Election Commission via email, seeking their support. Alongside her classmates, she actively engaged in voter awareness campaigns at homes, shops, and public places. In addition to encouraging voting, she advocated for the independent selection of good candidates.

The District Collector also acknowledged and praised her efforts. Recently, a response was received from the Election Commission regarding Sannidi’s letter. “Thank you for writing to the Central Election Commission. The Commission has acknowledged your valuable input. We appreciate your perspectives and actions aimed at ensuring a fair electoral process,” the response stated.
