Udupi: A fisherman who set a trap in the sea at Kodi Bengre in Udupi district had a remarkable catch. A substantial amount of fish, including Butai and Bangude, was discovered in the kairampani net deployed by local fishermen. The fishermen were excited about the abundant catch. Beach residents quickly gathered to witness the piles of fish and neatly packed them in plastic covers.
